The U: drive is your secure area on one of our file servers on campus. You can save or backup all of your information in the event that your computer crashes of you need to access your information from another computer on campus.Your f: drive is accessible under "My Computer" as are all of your drives. To backup your information on the U: drive, you should copy all of your files from 'My documents', your 'desktop', and 'my favorites'. These are the most common areas to which users save files. If you know of other locations that you use, backup these areas as well. This can be done by using the drag and drop method or copy and paste method.
